Robin Grendahl, MD
- Dr Robin attended the University of Washington School of Medicine as a WWAMI student. She was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the Medical Honor Society, and graduated with honors. She completed a categorical Internal Medicine internship at the University of Washington (UW) and then completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the UW under the direction of Robert E Kalina, MD. Dr Robin’s experience at Seattle Children’s Hospital inspired her to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
- Dr Robin returned home to Alaska in 1996. She and her father founded Grendahl Eye Associates . In 2013, after Dr. Marvin Grendahl retired, she became a founding member of Alaska Children’s Eye and Strabismus. and formed the first only the first and only pediatric ophthalmology practice in the State of Alaska. She is recognized as a Best Doctor in America 2019-20.
- Dr Robin and her husband, Kris, have two wonderful boys. They enjoy Nordic and Alpine skiing, hiking and camping in the great outdoors. She is honored to provide eye care for Alaskan families.
